Homey hotel, handy location, we booked the luxury queen room and loved it. Booked a room with great views, and the staff were accommodating people on shift. The place was reasonably priced.

I have already stated above how I feel about the hotel. I think maybe the bathroom was rather special as it was very large with both bath and shower which was quite outstanding.

The luxury queen room was stylish and top-class with a balcony overlooking the common. The incredible location was very close to St Nicholas Church. Plus it was in a lovely area.

Very nice Inn with all the facilities for my overnight stay. The photo doesn't do it justice. Nice location overlooking a common from a small balcony. Pretty village/town within a short stroll with restaurants etc. Seems to have about 6-8 rooms in a warm homely layout. My room was nice and large with a nice modern large bathroom to include a roll top bath and seperate shower cubicle with his and hers sinks. Good supply of condiments and this room had luxury towels and Dressing gowns. Pub and restaurant downstairs is a good size and provides a good menu for an evening meal. Although I never ventured outside, the garden area looked nice and a small area was being used by a local 'boules' teams. This actually provided a nice friendly backdrop as it is a very civilised and quiet game. In the morning they provide a very nice breakfast and comfy feel. The staff were very helpful and friendly, offered to help with luggage when I arrived and personally show you to your room. They also seemed to be investing in upkeep/improvements. Would definitely recommend.
Upstairs communal area where all rooms are accessed had light coloured carpets that had been stained from a lot of foot traffic and what seemed to be a spillage of some sort. This is a minor point however, that only very slightly detracted from an otherwise very nice environment and could easily be resolved.

We got all settled in quick and enjoyed tasty lunch right after check-in. The room was super clean, and it had this killer balcony with a view across the green.
Sure, it wasn't exactly pocket change but honestly, worth it.

The room was ok but overpriced.
The Crown Inn is hampered for parking by being near a school. Mothers take up the spaces if you arrive mid afternoon. The £105 was too much for both the Inn's position and those normally making up its bar customers. The meal in the evening was very much 'pub' grub.

Friendly, extremely helpful staff, who took time and trouble to help me locate an address for which there was no postcode. The room was large, clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. In all a lovely place to stay.

Spotlessly clean rooms and useful overnight stay items provided FOC, such as toothbrush/toothpaste, shower gels, shampoos, conditioners etc. Built-in iron in the room was much appreciated. Beds were not overly comfortable but adequate. Good size room and bed. Staff were very helpful and a tasty full English Brekfast the following morning. All in all, a very nice experience. Thanks!

It suited our needs perfectly as we were meeting friends in a local restaurant so the location was very good and just a short walk away. Room was comfortable and clean and noise of the bar below not noticeable at all.
Nothing, all was as expected and would stay there again
